Automatic Weather Station

Automatic Weather Station (AWS) is a self-contained system designed to autonomously monitor and record meteorological parameters such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and precipitation, with some stations also measuring solar radiation, soil moisture, and other environmental factors. Equipped with advanced sensors, these stations collect data continuously and transmit it in real-time or at scheduled intervals to a central database for analysis. AWS systems are powered by solar panels or mains electricity, often with backup batteries, and are engineered for operation in diverse environments, from urban areas to remote locations. Their ability to function without human intervention makes them indispensable for weather forecasting, climate studies, and environmental monitoring.
